HALF TERM 0226

This half term we will be using the following topics to provide learning opportunities for the children.

  • Pirates
  • Ourselves and all about Me
  • Mother’s Day/People who care for us
  • Ramadan/Eid
  • Easter

We very much welcome any parental input regarding our topics. If any parents/carers would like to be involved, please speak to me.

Car Park

For safety reasons, we would kindly remind you and request that parents do not drive through the main gates to the car park. This is to keep children safe whilst they are waiting to enter the Pre-School.

Sickness

To enable us to safely manage illnesses, please do not bring your child to Pre-School if they display symptoms of having a temperature. If your child needs Calpol, our Policy and Procedures state that they are not well enough to attend. If your child has vomiting and/or diarrhea, they should not attend Pre-School for 48 hours after the last episode.

Furthermore, if your child is prescribed anti-biotics by your GP, they should not attend Pre-School until 48 hours after the first dose and when they are well enough to do so.

I kindly thank you for your co-operation.

Healthy Eating

Can I remind you that if your child stays for lunch, please do not provide any foodstuffs that contain nuts as we have children attending with severe allergies.

Outdoor Clothing

It is proving very difficult when going outside to play to match the coat to the child. Many children have the same coat or don’t remember which coat they wore to Pre-School. Please could you ensure that all your child’s outdoor clothing including rucksacks and drinking bottles are clearly marked with their name.

Development Updates

If you would like an update on your child’s development, please contact me and I will arrange a meeting for you with your child’s Key Person.

Policies and Procedures

We have many Policies and Procedures in place that shape the way Brick by Brick is managed. A folder is available in the foyer containing all of our policies. However, if you would like copies of particular policies, please let me know.

Facebook

If you have not already done so, please join our private Facebook page, ‘The Brick by Brick Family’. It is a means for us to share activities that the children are involved in at Pre-School, and also for sharing ideas, activities and keeping in touch.

As always, I am around most mornings if you wish to discuss anything with me.

Alternatively, I can be contacted by email brickbybrickpreschool1@gmail.com

Our very warmest wishes,

Angie and the Team
