HALF TERM 0426
I cannot believe that for some children this will be their final half-term at Brick by Brick before moving on to ‘big’ school in September.
For all other children, we will be returning for the Autumn Term the week commencing 7th September 2026. If you would like to increase your child’s sessions, it is important that you please let me know asap. We look forward to seeing you all again then.
This half-term we will be using the following topics to provide exciting learning opportunities in the 7 areas of learning within the EYFS.

- Father’s Day & our Emotions
- Space & Planets
- Ready for School
- Summer Holidays
- Sports & Sports Day
Sports Day
Weather permitting, our sports day will take place on Wednesday 15th July from 9:45am. All children are welcome to attend. If your child does not normally attend Wednesday morning sessions, please bring them along for 9:45am, their Key Person will collect them from the main decking.
Goodbye to Leavers
We will be providing a short goodbye assembly on Friday 17th July at 12pm. If your child is leaving us and does not normally attend Friday morning sessions, please do try and come along for 12pm.
Photographer
We have arranged for our photographer to visit on Wednesday 3rd June. If you do not want your child to be photographed please let me know. Otherwise, we will be giving all children the opportunity to have their photograph taken. The photographer will also be providing caps and gowns for graduation photos for those children leaving us to go on to school.
If your child does not normally attend Wednesday morning sessions and you would like to take this opportunity, please speak to Angie or Sofia for an appointment slot.
Outdoor Clothing
It can get quite hot in our outdoor area, therefore, please ensure you apply sunscreen to your child prior to arriving at Pre-School.
If your child attends a full day, sunscreen will need to be re-applied, therefore, please could you provide sunscreen for us to apply during the day, clearly marked with their name. They will also need a sun hat and a water bottle clearly marked with their name. Also, please ensure you take home your child’s water bottle daily to be washed.
Development Meetings
Your child’s Key Person is more than happy to meet with you to discuss your child’s development and next steps in learning.

Policies and Procedures
We have many Policies and Procedures in place that shape the way Brick by Brick is managed. A folder is available in the foyer containing all of our policies. However, if you would like copies of particular policies, please let me know.
Our last day of term is Friday 17h July and we return for the Autumn term on Monday 7th September 2026
