HALF TERM 0526

I would like to welcome you all back and give a warm welcome to our new children and their families. I’m sure the children will quickly settle into the routines here at Brick by Brick.

In the foyer there is a list of children and their designated Key Person who are always on hand to discuss your child’s learning and development. Please speak with them directly should you wish to make an appointment. If your child is starting with us this term, your Key Person will make themselves known to you.

Sofia will be taking on the role of Manager from September with the support of the rest of the Brick by Brick team.

This term we will be using the following topics to provide learning opportunities for the children.

  • Settling into Pre-School
  • My Favourite Things (colours, food animals)
  • Nursery Rhymes
  • Transport
  • Colours & Shapes
  • Harvest & Farms
  • Autumn

New Email

Please note, as from September we have a new email.
All communication should be sent using brickbybrickpreschoolltd@gmail.com

Sickness

Our Policies and Procedures state that if your child is unwell with diarrhea or sickness, they should not attend Pre-School for 48 hours following the last bout. Furthermore, if your child has been prescribed anti-biotics by their GP, they should not return to
Pre-School for 48 hours after the first dose is administered.

Policies and Procedures

We have many Policies and Procedures in place that shape the way Brick by Brick is managed. A folder is available in the foyer containing all of our policies. However, if you would like copies of particular policies, please let me know.

Outdoor Clothing

Please ensure that all of your child’s outdoor clothing, including hats, bags and water bottles are clearly marked with their name.

Lunch

Brick by Brick supports a healthy eating policy, and I would like to inform you that children should not bring in chocolate biscuits or sweets. Furthermore, as we have children attending with severe allergies, we kindly ask that you do not provide any products that may contain nuts.

Development Meetings

Parents of new children will have the opportunity to meet with their child’s Key Person towards the end of term to discuss their development and next steps in learning. Your child’s Key Person will speak to you nearer the time to arrange a mutually convenient time. For all other children, if you would like to discuss your child’s learning and development, please speak with your child’s Key Person to arrange a mutually convenient time to meet.

Car Park

Due to Health & Safety, I would like to remind all parents/carers to not use the main gates to enter the Pre-School during pick up and drop offs.

There is another entrance further along Balmoral Avenue which can be used with direct access to the car park. Thank you for your co-operation.

Should you have any questions, I am around most mornings, alternately, I can be contacted by email brickbybrickpreschoolltd@gmail.com

Our very warmest wishes,

Sofia and the Team
